4 Most Popular Beach in Mandalika Lombok

Mandalika is a believer in a feeling that it has been there for three decades and not many men and women understand or know what it really is. It begins with all the many amazing areas in Lombok, especially the beaches and the lush green landscapes. All that is Mandalika, a unique place in Lombok Island that is set as a typical tourism economic zone. Mandalika has been developed widely, with many luxury hotels being constructed. This 1,250 hectare resort will also have a world class racing circuit.

Beautiful beaches in the southern portion of Lombok are going to be integrated within this resort. It is a work in progress, but this hotel will be among the most comprehensive ones in Indonesia when the development finishes. Below are a few stunning locations that you can visit from Mandalika.

  • Gerupuk Beach

Here is the perfect place to navigate in Mandalika.  Gerupuk beach provides the most challenging waves, which might reach around 3 meters. There are five zones for surfing within this lovely bay; Prigi, batu Teong, Batulawang, Giligoleng, and Terasa. Apart from its tempting waves, Gerupuk also generates organic lavender.  From the Gerupuk Village, it is possible to see local folks pack seaweed and ship them into big cities in Bali and Java.

  • Kuta Beach

The landscape is quite a bit more diverse, however, with cliffs and hills. Admittedly, the infrastructure isn’t entirely there yet. As of this moment, the area in Kuta Beach is unspoiled with little to no progress. If you love untouched organic beaches with excellent surfing waves, this is definitely the ideal place for you. If you like shores with luxury resorts, you have to wait a long time to appreciate this at Kuta Lombok.

  • Serenting Beach

The Second beach in the vicinity is Serenting Beach. This is an ideal location for a family picnic and a great place for sunbathing as there are only a few people around. It’s more coastline than Seger Beach. Serenting is also the area where Sasak Folks hold their Bau Nyale Festival. This ritual has been held each 20th day from the 10th month of the Sasak calendar year. Thousands of people flock to the beach to catch the tasty and colorful sea pig.

  • Seger Beach

Just 2km away from Kuta, Seger Beach is a rustic beachfront having an exotic landscape. Seger has an excellent view with its white sand beach and a few green hills plus rocky scenery. Apart from appreciating the view from the shore itself, you may also increase the mountain to find a much better view of the entire location.

Getting There

Mandalika isn’t too far from Lombok International Airport, where it is easy to book a trip from any big city in Indonesia. Mandalika is just 17km from the Airport or less than half an hour on vehicles.  It’s possible to rent a car or motorcycle to explore all Mandalika has to offer you. You do not need to pay entrance fees to the shores there, you only need to pay parking fees of IDR10,000 to get a car and IDR5000 for motorcycles.

Vacation is more than just the scenery, it’s about making long-lasting memories. Discover more adventures in Mandalika Lombok by visiting Wonderful Indonesia.
